SUMMARY:2nd Conference on Non-Destructive Testing in the Naval and Maritime Sector
DESCRIPTION:On October 17, 2025, the 2nd Conference on Non-Destructive Testing in the Naval and Maritime Sector will be held at the Hotel Baia di Nora (CA), promoted and organized by the Italian Association for Non-Destructive Testing (AIPnD). Just like the first edition, CGM CIGIEMME S.p.A. will participate as usual as Gold Sponsor.\nThe Conference is intended as an opportunity for technical and scientific discussion dedicated to the use of Non-Destructive Testing in the naval sector, with particular attention to both traditional shipbuilding and recreational boating.\nThe aim is to provide an up-to-date overview of NDT techniques applied throughout the entire life cycle of a ship, from construction to maintenance and decommissioning.\nDuring the event, the main areas of testing application will be explored in depth: hulls and superstructures made of metal and composite materials, propulsion systems, wheelhouses, appendages, and critical on-board components. The NDT methods used for the inspection of masts, rigging, and fiber structures will also be analyzed, with a specific focus on the construction characteristics and performance requirements of modern materials.\nParticular attention will be paid to regulations and technical references: from IACS guidelines for uniform application at the international level, to the regulations of classification societies, to good operating practices for the sector.\nWith more than 65 years of experience, CGM is ready to do its part by presenting its solutions in the field of Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT).\n
