40 years have passed since that Saturday 29 September 1979, the day on which the “First National Congress of the Italian Non-Destructive Testing Association” took place. The Association was founded a few months earlier, in May 1979, with a dual objective: promotion of research and technological development of control techniques; evolution of an associative and sharing component that could facilitate and implement relationships between people and monitor their professionalism, with a view to contributing to the scientific development and progress of Non-Destructive Testing.
