Ultrasonic Testing & Eddy Current Systems

Non-destructive Ultrasonic Control

Non-Destructive Ultrasonic Control is one of the control methods in which high-frequency sound waves are introduced into the material to be examined, both metallic and non-metallic, in order to detect internal defects. The frequency range varies from 1 Mhz to 10 Mhz. In the case of special applications, much lower or much higher frequencies are used.

In the last two decades the Phased Array technique, derived from the medical sector, has allowed the user to electronically control the angle and focal distance of the ultrasonic beam, bringing unquestionable advantages on the quality of inspection and reporting.

The Induced Current / Eddy Current control technique exploits the generation of currents that are induced in electrically conductive materials, by induction of an alternating magnetic field, for the detection of surface and sub-surface defects.
